What is the most valuable time of your day?
When do you get the best return on your investment (ROI)? This is mine…
There are many ways to maximize your results – you can work more hours, you can hire more people, you can get a coach. I have used these strategies with mixed results. However, the one thing I’ve found that always makes a difference is prayer. Prayer connects me back to purpose daily.
During my prayer time is when I receive wisdom and clarity. I find that my personality aligns best with the way God designed me. As a result, I experience peace, my relationships are better, I am more in tune and less likely to miss something important.
The bible says that we can come to God anytime and get the help we need…
“Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help."
Hebrews 4:16 MSG
Our reality can sometimes feel out of our control. The busyness of life can overtake us and make us feel like a slave to our schedules. When we take back that control and chose how we spend our time we demonstrate what really matters to us. Our priorities become clear when we chose them and take control of our schedules.
There are many things that compete for our time, plenty of things to distract us. I encourage you to make time with God a priority and experience it for yourself. If you find something competing for that time, schedule your prayer time on your calendar.
I promise you it’s the best investment you will ever make, with the highest ROI possible.
