Not Complaining

Sometimes we need to get things off our chest and vent about the things that bother us.

To be transparent… I like to vent as much as the next person but it’s not always the healthiest way to go about it.

Venting can be described as a form of complaining, and the definition for complain is “to make a formal accusation or charge.”

Revelation 12:10 came to mind,

…“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”

Let me give you some perspective – when we complain, we are literally inviting a demonic presence (the accuser) into our situation.

You can’t complain and hear from God at the same time,

BUT when we praise and thank God, we usher in the presence of God into our situation.

I challenge you today to make it your focus to praise and thank God in every situation – whether good or bad – inviting his presence into your circumstance. When we do this, we make room for the supernatural of God to happen in our lives.

Philippians 2:14 NLT – “Do everything without complaining and arguing,”
