How New Mindsets Lead to Success

Managing Mindsets

Have you ever felt stuck in a rut or the same patterns in your workplace?  The truth is that we can change our office layout, rearrange our schedule and even change our co-workers but sometimes the problem lies in our thinking.  The way we think has a big impact on the way we do business.  Old mindsets can put the brakes on success and a new way of thinking can lead our companies and departments forward.

Sometimes the greatest thing we can learn to manage is our mindsets.  Mind management is the ability to ‘think about what you think about.’  Romans 12:1-2 explains that transformation is possible when we start with renewing our minds:

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you.

Our thinking is so important because it determines the way we act, the way we talk and the way we plan.  Is your thinking going to grow your business, the people around you and lead you to new opportunities or do you need a “checkup from the neck up?”

Change your Mind, Change your Results

The process of changing your thinking can be daunting but it’s a valuable investment if you want to get different results.  As the scripture in Romans 12 states, “…His ways will really satisfy you.”  How do we learn God’s ways?  I am convinced God’s way is the best way to lead my business.

Practically, one way I have found to renew my mind is to take scripture and meditate on it.  I started to make collections of scripture on different topics and then I would spend time reading, reflecting and even reciting them (you can download many of those cards here.)  I want to encourage you to try renewing your mind in this way.  It gave me a new way of thinking about the people I work with, my approach to making deals and aligning the vision of my business with my purpose in life.
