As a result, Couples who pray together, Stay together

Janet and I pray together over every area of our lives. We pray about projects at work, family members, people who need healing. We pray for situations that need a breakthrough and God has been so faithful to show up in each of these ways!

There have also been times when we haven’t been consistent in prayer together. During those times life was difficult, we argued more. We experienced more struggles and challenges. Prayer really makes the difference!

When talking about it isn’t enough. Pray about it.

Early on in our marriage we had a client go bankrupt and they owed us a large sum of money. At the time, that money was basically everything we had. Talking about the problem wasn’t the solution. – We prayed together and praised God for the victory, even though we were unsure of the outcome. The bankrupt company owed many people money, and we were the only ones who got paid!

Matthew 20-18:19 NLT – “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Can you initiate prayer with your spouse today? Where do you need the power of breakthrough the most?
