In conversation with others, I tend to ask them how it’s going and often they answer, “It’s going great!” Sometimes I think,
“Is that possibly true?”
…because I can honestly say not everything is going great for me.
Anyone that is doing a lot of things, especially for the Kingdom, will have positive things and negative things going on in their lives. The biggest challenge is how do we compartmentalize the bad or negative things?
When I say compartmentalize, I mean to close off the negative things, so they don’t spill over into the positive things in our lives.
I’M NOT SAYING to stow away the negative things and forget about them. We still need to deal with them so they don’t create unhealthy areas in our lives.
By compartmentalizing them into a separate space in our brain we can push forward in other areas without being affected by those negative things. WHEN WE SET UP THIS BARRIER – we can see the supernatural of God in our lives.
Philippians 4:8 NLT –“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
